“Why invest in comfy blankets” you ask? Well, let me explain. To start, whether you’re sitting at home under the air conditioner or bundled up on your couch during a snow storm, there’s nothing more enjoyable than wrapping a comfy blanket around yourself. Comfy blankets come in handy even when you’ve got a long trip planned ahead. I travel pretty frequently and to be honest, I’m really not the biggest fan of the thin small blankets they distribute on airplanes. As a result, bringing a comfy blanket along for the ride can make all the difference! Another benefit to owning comfy blankets is creating beautiful home decor. It adds a sense of “coziness” to the room, believe it or not.

In the photo above you’ll notice that to contrast my beige couch, I decided to use four decorative pillows and one comfy blanket. These throw pillows designed by Threshold, I purchased from Target while the featured blanket is from a Canadian company called Comfy Blankets. I absolutely love the way the colors compliment each other. It’s the perfect balance between the cool and warm tones, in my opinion. Not to mention, I’m absolutely obsessed with my new comfy blanket because it’s super soft and extra warm. And I got it just in time to get through these winter snow days here in Denver, Colorado.
When purchasing products for my home, I’m very particular. I do my best to stick to buying things that are primarily natural and organic. Whether it’s the food I’m putting into my body or the decor I choose to decorate my home with, I believe that quality is the most important component. I choose to spend my money on quality home goods because I’m investing into things that will keep their value for the long run. For example, why buy a cheap $10 – $25 throw blanket that is made of 100% polyester and will get ruined after just a few washes if I can invest into a $90 – $150 throw blanket that is sourced from quality materials and will last for years?

“Wool is a unique, natural, and sustainable product. It is the most commonly used natural animal fibre in fabrics and the most valued fabric in the world. It is naturally fire retardant and extremely strong,” according to an article by Comfy Blankets. Furthermore, as stated in the article, the leading countries in “clipped sheep wool” are Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina. Of course, we know, that this doesn’t stop the rest of the world from purchasing wool goods as well.
I recently also discovered that wool is used for many healing purposes, as outlined by Comfy Blankets. Here is what they have to say:
- “The natural warmth of wool has beneficial effects for backaches, joints, and muscle pain.”
- “Another positive effect of pure sheep wool is that it regulates blood pressure, calms nervous system, helps with exhaustion, normalizes sleep, reinforces immune system responses, and helps with colds and infections.”
- “Lanolin, the animal wax contained in sheep wool, speeds up the healing of wounds and bone fractures, has anti-inflammatory properties, and has anti-allergic effects.” How fascinating is that?”

As you can see, my new wool blanket is super resourceful and stylish. I’m loving the pop of color that it’s adding to my living room! As for the product details, here you go:
